IBCC Official Launch

The Indian Business Chamber in Cambodia officially launched on January 17, 2024,
graced by H.E. Devyani Khobragade, Ambassador of India, and H.E. Pich Rithi,
Secretary of State, Ministry of Commerce. The landmark event brought together
over 250 participants including business leaders, entrepreneurs, and government
representatives, marking a new chapter in strengthening India–Cambodia trade ties.

Study in India Education Fair

Date: 1st April 2024
Venue: Sofitel, Phnom Penh

The Study in India Education Fair 2024 was successfully hosted on April 1, 2024,
at Sofitel, Phnom Penh, organized by SAPE Events & Media Pvt. Ltd and supported
by the Indian Embassy and IBCC. The fair brought together 8 Indian universities
and 17 Cambodian universities for meaningful B2B discussions, strengthening
academic ties between India and Cambodia.

Cambodia-ASEAN Business Summit

Date: 1st – 2nd April 2024
Venue: Phnom Penh, Cambodia

The Board of Directors of IBCC attended the Cambodia-ASEAN Business Summit,
organized by the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce in collaboration with international chambers and associations. Inaugurated by the Prime Minister of Cambodia, the summit saw the presence of ministers from several ministries, around 450 MNCs, and nearly 10 Indian MNCs proudly representing Indian businesses in Cambodia.

Business Meeting

Mindfulness for Business

The Indian Business Chamber in Cambodia (IBCC), in collaboration with The Art of Living (AOL), successfully organized an event on “Mindfulness for Effective Business Management.” The event drew over 100 attendees representing nearly 40 corporates
and organizations across Cambodia, promoting mindful leadership and well-being in the business community.

Navigating Digital Future

The Indian Business Chamber in Cambodia (IBCC) organized a landmark event titled “Navigating Digital Future – Opportunities, Innovation and Growth,” honored by the presence of Chief Guest H.E. Dr. Devyani Khobragade, Ambassador of India to Cambodia, alongside H.E. So Visothy from the Ministry of Post and Telecommunications and Mr. Sophea Eng from the National Bank of Cambodia. The event drew over 130 guests

The session provided participants with key insights into Cambodia’s business environment, tax structure, and investment incentives under the new Investment Law, helping Indian businesses explore and understand
opportunities in Cambodia.

AI-First Banking Event

IBCC, in collaboration with Trempplin and Newgen Software, and supported by
ABC and CMA, hosted a successful event bringing together 85+ participants from
banks and microfinance institutions (MFIs) across Cambodia, fostering meaningful
dialogue and innovation within the financial sector.

India-Cambodia B2B Interaction

IBCC proudly supported the Indian Business Delegation and B2B Interaction,
organized by the Embassy of India in Cambodia. The event brought together
over 20 Indian companies and more than 60 Cambodian businesses for meaningful
B2B interactions and partnership opportunities across sectors including
agricultural inputs, agro-processing, electronics, and financial services.

MOU with CGJTA

Date: 10th July 2025

The Indian Business Chamber in Cambodia (IBCC) signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Cambodian Gems and Jewelry Traders Association (CGJTA), marking a strategic collaboration between the two organizations. The signing ceremony was graced by H.E. Vanlalvawna Bawitlung, Ambassador of India to Cambodia, H.E. Ms. Ong Sopheavy, Secretary of State representing the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, and H.E. Ms. Tann Tepikanika, Under Secretary of State representing the Minister of Commerce.

Best of India Expo 2025

Event: Best of India Expo 2025

The first-ever India Expo in Cambodia kicked off with a grand opening ceremony
graced by H.E. Ms. Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce, and H.E. Mr. Vanlalvawna
Bawitlung, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Cambodia. The expo features a
vibrant showcase of Indian culture through stalls offering Indian cuisine,
traditional attire, jewelry, entertainment, and more — giving Cambodian visitors
a rich and immersive cultural experience.

Customs Breakfast Talk

IBCC successfully organized a “Breakfast Talk on Cambodia Customs 2025” in
partnership with DFDL, commencing with a networking breakfast for meaningful
interaction among participants. The event was honored by H.E. Pha Eng Veng,
Deputy Director General of GDCE, as Chief Guest, while Mr. Diberjohn Balinas,
Partner at DFDL, delivered detailed insights on the latest customs procedures,
GDCE issuances, and regulatory updates — equipping businesses with key knowledge
to navigate Cambodia’s customs landscape in 2025.

Pharma Sector Interaction

IBCC was pleased to support the “India–Cambodia Interaction in the Pharmaceutical Sector,” organized by the Embassy of India in Cambodia. H.E. Mr. Vanlalvawna Bawitlung, Ambassador of India to the Kingdom of Cambodia, highlighted the strategic importance and future potential of India–Cambodia collaboration in the pharmaceutical
industry, paving the way for stronger bilateral ties in this vital sector.

18th Trade Expo

Event: 18th Trade Expo – Ministry of Commerce, Cambodia

The 18th Trade Expo, organized by the Ministry of Commerce, Kingdom of Cambodia, was inaugurated by H.E. Sun Chanthol, Deputy Prime Minister, and H.E. Ms. Cham Nimul, Minister of Commerce. The Embassy of India facilitated six concessional booths for Indian companies, with the Indian Pavilion officially opened through a ribbon-cutting ceremony by H.E. Mr. Vanlalvawna Bawitlung, Ambassador of India to Cambodia, alongside representatives of the participating Indian companies.

MOU with FIEO

IBCC proudly supported the Multi-Product Business Delegation Event organized by
the Federation of Indian Export Organizations (FIEO) and the Embassy of India. As a key highlight, IBCC signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with FIEO, marking a significant step toward enhanced trade and business cooperation. The ceremony was honored by H.E. Vanlalvawna Bawitlung, Ambassador of India to Cambodia,
alongside senior officials from the Ministry of Commerce, reaffirming the commitment
to strengthening India–Cambodia trade relations.

India – Cambodia Chemical Business Event

Date: 13th March 2024
Venue: Hyatt Regency, Phnom Penh

IBCC, in cooperation with the Indian Embassy and ChemExcil, successfully organized
the “India–Cambodia Chemical Business Meet,” bringing together 18 Indian chemical
sector companies and over 100 Cambodian companies. The event was honored by
H.E. Dr. Devyani Khobragade, Ambassador of India to Cambodia, along with senior
Cambodian government representatives from the Council for Development of Cambodia
(CDC), the Ministry of Industry Science Technology & Innovation (MISTI), and the
Ministry of Agriculture Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF).

PSWG - D

Event: Private Sector Working Group D (PSWG-D) Meeting

IBCC President Mr. Babulal Parihar and Board of Director Mr. Sharvan Rao represented IBCC at the Private Sector Working Group D (PSWG-D) meeting, alongside representatives from international chambers and the Cambodian Chamber of Commerce (CCC). IBCC effectively raised key concerns of Indian pharmaceutical companies regarding “Tax on Free/Sample Goods” and “Allowing of Flexible Discount Rate,” which were well received by the Working Group and appreciated by other attendees for their broader relevance across industries.

ACLEDA Institute of Business Meeting

Senior management of ACLEDA Institute of Business and IBCC convened a productive meeting to explore cooperation opportunities in Entrepreneurship training and Soft-Skill Development across various sectors, as well as broader avenues for strengthening overall India–Cambodia collaboration — laying the groundwork for  a meaningful institutional partnership between the two organizations.
